Edinburgh’s Nuclear Bunker Halloween Tour Experience
Come experience a guided dark tour of Edinburgh’s nuclear bunker—full of scares, costumed characters, radioactive creatures, and an immersive story inspired by the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. The history of the bunker and the local legend of Greyfriar’s Bobby, the loyal Skye Terrier, are all part of this thrilling adventure.
For those preferring a gentler experience, our family-friendly time slots feature friendly creatures with no jump scares. See the list of available dates for family-friendly tours above. For all other times, we offer a scarier version with spooky creatures and jump scares.
The tours will run from October 18th to 31st, and each tour lasts approximately 20 minutes. Be sure to book early as spots fill up quickly!
WARNING
Family-Friendly (6-7 PM): Suitable for younger children, no jump scares. Parental discretion advised.
After 7 PM: Expect live actors and jump scares. Not recommended for young children.

You will be redirected to the booking page where you can choose the type of tour you would like to book.
Select the date and time that works best for you from the available options.
Choose the number of tickets you need for your group.
Enter your contact and payment information, including your name, email address, phone number and payment method. Please note that payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
Review your booking details and confirm your reservation.
You will receive an email confirmation with all the details of your booking, including the date, time, and number of tickets.
Upon your arrival for the guided tour, kindly gather at the bunker gates. Our tour is set to begin promptly at your chosen time, coinciding with the opening of the bunker gates.
Please note that if you need to reschedule your booking, you can do so by contacting Barnton Bunker via our contact page. All bookings are non-refundable, so be sure to double-check your selected date and time before confirming your reservation.

Please note that the Barnton Bunker is currently undergoing restoration and is still a construction site. While we take every precaution to ensure the safety of our guests, accidents can still occur. By booking a tour with us, you acknowledge and accept that you are entering a potentially hazardous environment at your own risk. We will not be liable for any injuries, accidents or damage to personal property that may occur during your visit.
Please be aware that the tour involves walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs and descending steep steps, and wearing a hard hat at all times. The tour is not recommended for individuals with mobility issues or certain medical conditions. We also ask that parents or guardians supervise their children at all times during the tour.
